At Lotus Rhythm, every session is built on a foundation of safety, respect and genuine care. Here is everything you need to know before you arrive.
A space built on trust
Receiving a massage requires a degree of trust, and we do not take that lightly. At Lotus Rhythm, we have built our practice around the principle that every client deserves to feel completely safe, respected and cared for from the moment they walk through the door to the moment they leave.
This page exists because we believe in transparency. We want you to know exactly what to expect, what your rights are, and how we handle the responsibility of working with your body. Whether you are a first-time client or a regular, these principles apply to every single session.
Our principles
Your consent is ongoing
Consent is not a one-time checkbox. Before every session, your therapist will discuss the treatment, the areas to be worked on and any adaptations needed. During the session, you are always free to ask for more or less pressure, to redirect the work, or to stop entirely. Your comfort is the priority, always.
You are always draped
Professional draping is maintained throughout every treatment. Only the area being actively worked on is uncovered. Your privacy and dignity are protected at all times, without exception.
Boundaries are respected without question
If at any point you feel uncomfortable, you simply say so. No explanation is required. Your therapist will adjust immediately and without question. There is no pressure, no awkwardness and no judgment.
Your information is confidential
Any health information, personal details or preferences you share with us are held in strict confidence. This information is used only to provide you with the best possible care and is never shared with third parties.
We do not offer sexual services
Lotus Rhythm is a professional therapeutic wellness studio. We do not offer, tolerate or entertain requests for sexual services of any kind. Any such request will result in the immediate termination of the session with full payment due.
Our therapists are trained professionals
Every therapist at Lotus Rhythm holds professional qualifications in their modalities and is committed to ongoing training and development. You are in skilled, experienced hands.
Health and Safety
Your health and safety matter to us. Please read the following before booking.
Please tell us about health conditions
Before your session, please inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, recent surgeries, skin conditions, allergies or medications that may be relevant. This allows your therapist to adapt the treatment appropriately and ensure it is safe for you.
Contraindications
Some conditions mean that massage is not appropriate, or that certain techniques should be avoided. These include active infections, open wounds, certain cardiovascular conditions, recent surgery and some skin conditions. If you are unsure whether massage is suitable for you, please consult your GP before booking and let us know.
Pregnancy
We offer adapted treatments for pregnancy at certain stages. Please let us know when booking. Some treatments are not appropriate during the first trimester or in certain high-risk pregnancies. Your safety and the safety of your baby are always the priority.
Intoxication
We are unable to treat clients who arrive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This is for your safety and the safety of our therapists. If this applies, your session will be cancelled and full payment will be due.
Illness
Please do not come for your session if you are unwell, have a fever, or have been in contact with someone with a contagious illness. We ask this to protect both you and our team. Please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule.
Booking and Cancellation
Booking confirmation
All bookings are confirmed via WhatsApp. Your appointment is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation message from us. Please do not assume your booking is secured until you hear from us.
Cancellation policy
We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be charged at 50% of the treatment cost. No-shows will be charged in full.
Late arrivals
If you arrive late, your session will still end at the scheduled time to respect the next client. The full treatment cost applies. We recommend arriving 5 to 10 minutes early, especially for your first visit.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of your session. We accept cash and card. For Kashmiri Massage courses, the full course fee is due at the time of your first session.
